Nancy Markert has been a children's clothing and accessories sales rep carrying better, contemporary lines in the New York metropolitan area since 1988. Along with her associate (and twin sister) Amy Hoffman, they cover, NY, NJ, PA, CT, DC, MD, VA, & DE. She divides her time between her showroom, located in the premier Children's wear building (located across from the Empire State Building, at 34 West 33rd St. suite #314, NY, NY), and the road.

She is lucky to have been both on the buying end and the selling end of the wholesale/retail business, giving her a complete understanding of how businesses operate.  Before her career in the Children's industry, Nancy first worked for Bloomingdale's in the Washington, DC area while attending the business school at American University.  She then entered the Bloomingdale's executive training program where she worked her way up from an assistant buyer in Manhattan, to a department manager at the Short Hills, NJ store, and then to associate buyer in Manhattan in the home goods area.

Nancy left Bloomingdale's when she gave birth to the first of her two daughters.  It was when her youngest daughter was an infant that she was given the opportunity to rep a well known giftware line selling to Children's stores that her career in repping children's clothing and accessories began.

Being on the road is where Nancy loves it best. She is able to see what each store is all about and able to direct her customers to select the best merchandise for their type of store.  In addition, from being in the stores, she can see where there is a void and fill her stores in with basics that they need and might otherwise forget about.  Nancy is also actively involved with many of her manufacturers in developing their lines for each season.
