Nancy Markert has been a children's clothing and accessories sales rep carrying better, contemporary lines in the New York metropolitan area since 1988. Along with her associate (and twin sister) Amy Hoffman, they cover the Northeast as well as the Midwest. Nancy divides her time between her showroom, located in the premier Children's wear building (across from the Empire State Building, at 34 West 33rd St. suite #905, NY, NY), and the road.

She is lucky to have been both on the buying end and the selling end of the wholesale/retail business, giving her a complete understanding of how businesses operate. Before her career in the Children's industry, Nancy first worked for Bloomingdale's in the Washington, DC area while attending the business school at American University. She then entered the Bloomingdale's executive training program where she worked her way up from an assistant buyer in Manhattan, to a department manager at the Short Hills, NJ store, and then to associate buyer in Manhattan in the home goods area.

Nancy left Bloomingdale's when she gave birth to the first of her two daughters. It was when her youngest daughter was an infant that she was given the opportunity to rep a well known gift ware line selling to Children's stores that her career in repping children's clothing and accessories began.

Nancy is more than a rep to many of her manufacturers. She is involved in helping to design and develop their lines for each season, giving insight into upcoming trends, finding voids in the market place and having her companies fill them, expediting payments between stores and manufacturers, and much more.

Amy Hoffman has been a children's clothing and accessories sales rep carrying better, contemporary lines in the New York metropolitan area since 1989. She covers NY (except Manhattan & Nanuet area), CT and the Mid-Atlantic states.  For a few of their lines, their territory includes the entire east coast and the mid west. Although she is mostly on the road, she also works out of the showroom at 34 W. 33rd Street in NY by appointment.

Before her career in the children's industry, she worked for Merona Sport as a merchandise manager in the men's division. She worked in conjunction with the design department and sales to develop the line each season.

After her first daughter, Melissa, was born, she worked for Merona Sport as a consultant for the kids division. Her repping career began when her sister, Nancy needed help at the trade shows. It was only natural to join in. Amy started repping when her youngest daughter, Chelsey, was a toddler.

Nancy and Amy now carry the same lines in adjoining territories. Being on the road is where she is mostly found, but she also enjoys working out of their showroom at 34 W. 33rd Street. Being on the road she is able to see what each store is all about and able to direct her customers to select the best merchandise for their type of store. In addition, from being in the stores, she can see where there is a void and fill her stores in with basics that they need and might otherwise forget about. Amy has also developed such a great relationship with many of her stores and has been known to give a helping hand when they get busy!
